Education as a Tool for Ukraine's Economic Resilience

Before the full-scale war, I worked for a large company in the Donbas, but on February 24, I lost my job and my home and was forced to move to Poltava. After some hesitation and searching, I enrolled in the HR Generalist course at Beetroot Academy. Despite the difficult conditions of studying during the war, I worked persistently, systematized my knowledge, and gained practical skills. Today, I am the Head of HR at a financial company.

The war changed my life drastically: my family and I were forced to flee Bucha. Once the situation stabilized, I decided to take action and enrolled in the QA Manual course at Beetroot Academy. Despite the war, I worked hard and secured an internship at Driver.Top. Now, I am building a career in QA, constantly learning and growing.

I am originally from Kharkiv and worked as a nail technician before the war. Due to the danger, I was forced to leave my home and moved 11 times over two years. Dreaming of remote work, I enrolled in the digital marketing course at Beetroot Academy. Today, I work at Prom.ua, where I am growing in marketing and planning my further specialization.

In the fall of 2021, I started my studies at Beetroot Academy, but the start of the war put my job search on hold—on February 24, I joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served for two years. After being demobilized in October 2023, I returned to IT, enrolled in a course for veterans, and within a month of active searching, I received a job offer.

Before moving into IT, I changed many jobs, but I truly found myself in testing. Thanks to the support of a charitable organization, I became a student at Beetroot Academy. The training was challenging, but persistence helped me successfully complete the course and pass the final exam. The support of my instructor and classmates inspired me to believe in myself and keep moving forward!
