Sustainability — economic security and retraining for vulnerable groups in regions of Ukraine

About the project

This program is designed for those who want to acquire a new profession in IT, work remotely and develop in an area that is growing even during the war. The training takes place online with the support of experienced teachers and involves practical tasks, work with real cases and support at all stages.

The project is implemented by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation with the support of Sweden.

Thanks to this project, in 2025, more than 350 people have successfully mastered new IT professions.

Our impact today

Economic risks to vulnerable groups increase due to war, displacement and job loss. Solutions are needed that provide practical skills and a path to employment (in particular distance).

Professional transition and stability

We support people in changing their professional paths and restoring economic sustainability, helping to build a new career trajectory and gradually regain financial confidence.

Practical digital skills

We provide applied digital skills relevant to the modern labor market, which can be used both for remote work and for employment in Ukrainian companies.

Career orientation and employment

We provide career orientation and employment support, helping participants better understand the demands of the market, prepare for the job search and take the first steps in a new profession.

Who we help

The program targets people from vulnerable categories who need support for professional transition, recovery of economic sustainability and access to new employment opportunities in IT and related fields.

Veterans and their families

Veterans of war, as well as family members of prisoners of war, missing or dead defenders seeking to acquire a new profession and successfully adapt to civilian life.

IDPs and returned Ukrainians

Internally displaced persons, as well as people who have returned from abroad or from other regions of Ukraine and are looking for opportunities to resume professional implementation.

Families and people in difficult circumstances

Members of large families, single parents with children under the age of 17, persons with disabilities or their guardians, as well as unemployed people or low-income households.

Participation regions

Kyiv, Chernihiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Sumy regions.

Choosing a direction of study

The programme combines technical and non-technical IT disciplines, providing participants with a holistic understanding of the digital sphere and practical skills demanded in the market. The training format is flexible, with constant support, allowing you to combine learning with personal circumstances. Particular attention is paid to career orientation and employment support.

Selection: the formation of groups is gradual, applications are considered consistently.
