At Beetroot Academy, we maintain a zero-tolerance approach to sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, sexual harassment, coercion, blackmail, abuse of power, discrimination, and any other unacceptable conduct.
This principle applies to all forms of interaction related to learning: classes, mentoring, consultations, chats, correspondence, calls, and any other communication channels used by the Academy.
PSEA stands for the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse. In an educational setting, this means that no one may use their role, influence, trust, status, or access to opportunities to pressure, harass, manipulate, or engage in sexualized interactions with others.
In plain terms: no one may use their position at the Academy to violate your boundaries, push you toward unwanted intimacy, or make personal or sexual demands.
Every student has the right to:
Unacceptable conduct includes, but is not limited to:
In an educational setting, there may be an imbalance of influence between a student and an academy representative. A person who teaches, assesses, advises, coordinates processes, or controls access to opportunities holds greater power in that interaction.
This is precisely why personal, romantic, or sexualized demands in such a context are particularly problematic. A student may comply not out of genuine willingness but due to pressure from the other person or out of fear of jeopardizing their studies, assessments, or future opportunities.
Learning support, mentoring, feedback, assessment, recommendations, and access to opportunities are not subject to bargaining. No one may demand in exchange for these:
If at any point during your time at Beetroot Academy you encounter unacceptable treatment or witness such behavior directed at others, it is important to report it. You may contact your course coordinator or write to the dedicated reporting address: whistle@beetroot.academy.
All reports are handled confidentially. The Academy guarantees that no adverse consequences will be taken against individuals who report violations in good faith.
At Beetroot Academy, sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, harassment, and abuse of power are unacceptable. Every student has the right to safe learning, clear boundaries, respectful treatment, and support without hidden conditions.
