Implementation partnership with UNFPA

The partnership with UNFPA aims to strengthen women's economic security by providing them with access to resources, training and support. This includes skills development programs that help women gain new professional opportunities and increase their competitiveness in the labor market.

About the project

UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine, in collaboration with Beetroot Academy and with financial support from the Irish Government's International Development Programme, is launching a project to enhance the economic security of victims of gender-based violence.

Beetroot Academy has been cooperating with UNFPA since 2021, and in 2022 it became an implementation partner of the organization in Ukraine.

In 2025, more than 330 women were trained in Digital Literacy, Project Management, QA Manual and Business Analysis in IT.

Our impact today

Women from vulnerable categories and victims of gender-based violence often have limited access to stable income and professional development opportunities. Education in digital professions can be a tool to break out of the circle of vulnerability and the path to economic independence.

Economic security and stability

We work to increase the economic security of participants, creating conditions for stable income, professional self-realization and gradual exit from the circle of financial vulnerability.

Access to modern IT education

We provide access to up-to-date educational opportunities in the field of IT and digital professions that allow you to acquire practical skills that are in demand in the modern labor market.

Financial independence and competitiveness

We strengthen the competitiveness of participants in the labor market and support their path to financial independence through the development of professional and digital competencies.

Who we help

This program is aimed at women from vulnerable categories who find themselves in difficult life circumstances and need support to restore economic security, professional fulfillment and build a stable future.

Women in difficult life circumstances

Internally displaced women, women without a permanent income, with an income below the subsistence minimum or those who are in difficult living conditions and are looking for the opportunity to change their profession and enter a stable income.

Mothers and guardians

Mothers with newborn children, single and large mothers, as well as women who combine the care of children or family members with the need for professional development and financial independence.

Veterans and Women with Special Needs

Veteran women, mothers and partners of veterans, women with disabilities, and adolescents of working age who need inclusive access to education and opportunities for professional growth.

Systemic impact of the program

Beetroot Academy has been cooperating with UNFPA since 2021, and in 2022 we became implementation partners of the organization in Ukraine. In the first iteration of the Trampoline to Equality project, implemented with the support of UNFPA, the main task was to create conditions for participants that would help restore psychological well-being and at the same time open up new career opportunities.

The Beetroot Academy training programs became a key part of a broader initiative that combined professional development in information technology, personalized career counseling and psychological support to overcome a traumatic experience. Through this project, more than 800 women were able to not only master IT skills, but also regain self-confidence and build a new professional future.

He demonstrated that technical education can be an effective tool to overcome the effects of violence and create the foundations for women's economic independence.
