"Zrostai" Project

Professional reintegration with mentorship, a clear path to long-term career stability, and organized digital education.

About the project

It is an online education project designed for people affected by forced displacement, return from abroad, or economic vulnerability who are seeking a new professional direction.

The program combines technical and non-technical IT tracks with structured curricula, hands-on practice, and mentor support. The flexible online format allows participants to balance learning with work or family responsibilities.

Groups are formed gradually, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. A dedicated enrollment track will also be available for veterans and their family members.

Our impact today

Economic risks to vulnerable groups increase due to war, displacement and job loss. Solutions are needed that provide practical skills and a path to employment (in particular distance).

Professional transition and stability

We support people in changing their professional paths and restoring economic sustainability, helping to build a new career trajectory and gradually regain financial confidence.

Practical digital skills

We provide applied digital skills relevant to the modern labor market, which can be used both for remote work and for employment in Ukrainian companies.

Career orientation and employment

We provide career orientation and employment support, helping participants better understand the demands of the market, prepare for the job search and take the first steps in a new profession.

Who we help

The program targets people from vulnerable categories who need support for professional transition, recovery of economic sustainability and access to new employment opportunities in IT and related fields.

War veterans

Individuals discharged from military service who are looking for a new career path.

Families of war veterans

Family members of service members who have been discharged from military service.

Families of defenders

Family members of prisoners of war, defenders who are missing in action, or defenders who have been killed in action.

Internally Displaced Persons

Those who have been forced to relocate and are looking for a stable career in the digital sector.

People with disabilities and their caregivers

Those who value a flexible format, support, and the opportunity to study online in a way that fits their life circumstances.

Young people from rural areas

Residents of cities, villages, and towns with a population of up to 30,000, aged 17 to 25.

Single parents

Parents who are raising a child or children under the age of 17 on their own.

People who have returned from abroad or from other regions

Those who are planning to enter the workforce in Ukraine after returning from abroad or relocating from other regions of the country.
Program eligibility requirements: The grant covers at least 90% of tuition costs. A portion of the costs (up to 10%) is covered by the student out of pocket, which serves as proof of their commitment to pursuing their chosen field.

Educational programs available as part of the project

Project Management with AI: A course to get you started in project management: 2 months of hands-on practice, real-world case studies, AI tools, and preparation for CAPM® certification.

HR Generalist: HR and Recruitment: This course covers both HR and recruitment to provide a comprehensive understanding of working with people, processes, and hiring in the IT industry.

Python Development: Master the Python language through a structured curriculum, hands-on assignments, and instructor support.

Embedded Development: From basic C/C++ to the full embedded development lifecycle: microcontrollers, protocols, RTOS, and designing your own board in KiCad.

Computer Vision: A course for technical professionals without ML experience who want to add computer vision to their skill set and apply it to industry challenges.

Systemic impact of the program

The program creates an opportunity to get a modern profession and move to remote employment for people from vulnerable categories in the regions.

In addition to individual courses offered as part of the project, a portion of the grant funds covers spots in Beetroot Academy’s regular classes.

In 2026, thanks to the program, approximately 100 students began studying IT disciplines and/or successfully completed their studies.
