About the project

Every day the number of war veterans in Ukraine is growing, and it is extremely important to help them integrate into civilian life through the provision of a new profession that allows them to work remotely.

As part of the initiative, about 120 people (veterans and their family members) received training in two areas: Project Management in IT and Front-End Development.

Our impact today

Returning to civilian life is often accompanied by difficulties: a change of environment, the need for a new professional path, psychological challenges. Education and systemic support help veterans build a new professional future.

A new profession for civil life

We help veterans and their family members gain new careers in IT and related fields, opening up opportunities for a stable professional future after service.

Remote employment

We create conditions for remote work, which allows participants to combine professional implementation with the process of adaptation to civilian life and personal circumstances.

Comprehensive support and support

We provide comprehensive support for participants, combining education, psychological support and career development for a smooth and effective transition to a new professional role.

Who we help

The programme aims to support people who have been directly or indirectly affected by war and need help in professional adaptation and building a stable civilian life through the acquisition of new skills.

Veterans

War veterans returning to civilian life and looking for the opportunity to acquire a new profession, work remotely, and build a sustainable career trajectory after service.

Veterans' Family Members

Veterans' family members who also face adaptation challenges and need new professional opportunities to restore economic stability and long-term development.

Systemic impact of the program

The project was implemented by several partner organizations with the support of Susanne Hobohm Foundation.

- Beetroot Academy provided the educational process (with partial support from the Beetroot Aid Fund and a private Swedish foundation)

- Horizon Hub provided psychological support, career development assistance and English classes

The project already has concrete results — there are successful stories of veterans who have found jobs in IT. This confirms the effectiveness of the approach and demonstrates that technological education can be a tool for rehabilitation and social adaptation.
